The assignment: a complete tent installation for Block party, a festive event where multiple linked tent structures to one coherent Party venue.
Situation
For the Blokland Festival, a large-scale and flexible tent setup was required to accommodate all aspects of the festival, from the main stage to catering and ancillary areas. The design called for a combination of different tent sizes and types, allowing for both a large main section and smaller, functional spaces to be created.
Result / solution
For the Blokland Festival Kontent Structures an extensive combination of tent structures was realised. The heart of the party was formed by an aluminium hall of 25 by 55 metres with a side height of 4 metres (ES300).
Around these, various additional marquees have been erected: two marquees measuring 10 by 10 metres, and as ancillary spaces, a marquee measuring 10 by 15 metres, a marquee measuring 15 by 20 metres, a 20 by 30 metre marquee and a 15 by 45 metre marquee, all constructed from ES225 fabric with a 3-metre side height. By cleverly combining these marquees, a cohesive, spacious and bespoke event venue was created.
Finally, a large terrace floor was laid, creating a solid and comfortable outdoor space next to the tents.
