Get the most out of your tent
To get the most out of your investment, it is important to handle the material correctly. Storing and transporting the construction plays a major role in this. Below you will find advice on how best to deal with this.
First and foremost, it is important that the correct means of transport is used. Which means of transport you can use depends on various factors, namely the length, volume and weight of the tent construction. You may be satisfied with a trailer, but it may also occur that a truck needs to be deployed. Because Kontent Structures This will keep you informed of all specifications so you will know exactly what you need to take into account and what the best means of transport will ultimately be to deploy.
Transport material
In addition to using the correct mode of transport, it is important that your materials are transported safely. Pallets are often used for one-off transport to keep materials together. If you plan to move the tent construction more frequently, it is best to purchase transport frames. These frames are for repeated use and help to keep your materials intact. The transport frames ensure that the materials remain sorted and in place, making them less prone to damage. By means of these frames, the tent constructions can be transported safely time and time again.
Save profiles
Floor profiles and aluminium frames can be stored both outdoors and indoors. However, it is quite common for the floor profiles to be damp after cleaning. If the profiles are stored covered in a well-ventilated space, they will dry more quickly and better than if they are enclosed.
To store the sails
Properly storing the tent canvases begins during dismantling. The way you fold the tent canvases affects the quality of the material. At Kontent Structures, side wall canvases and roof canvases are handled differently. The roof canvases are folded in a concertina fashion, while the side wall canvases are hung up. Before the tent canvases are stored, they are first cleaned and dried at our own facility. After this, the canvases will be placed in canvas bags to protect the material.
Transport at Kontent Structures
Kontent Structures has its own transport facilities. With the specific composition of our truck combinations and internally developed transport systems, the loading volume and number of transport movements are minimised. At Kontent Structures, we make use of Longer Heavier Vehicle Combinations, also known as Eco-combis. These are characterised by their extra loading length, enabling more materials to be carried per trip, resulting in, among other things, lower fuel consumption. All our drivers have the mandatory continuing professional development, code 95, including the practical module 'Het Nieuwe Rijden' (Modern Driving). Awareness of the importance of fuel saving is central to this.
