Client Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival – Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA
The assignment: Two covered tent accommodations, one of which was fully insulated, to keep the temperature in the space as much as possible.
Situation
For the Ice Sculpture Festival that took place near the Johan Cruijff ArenA, has Kontent Structures Various temporary exhibition halls have been realised. The Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival is a unique winter event where impressive snow and ice sculptures are exhibited.
Result / solution
The demountable exhibition halls from Kontent Structures had to incorporate several features to enable this event to take place. For instance, these temporary exhibition halls are fully insulated to retain as much temperature as possible within the space, and the floor has been reinforced to allow for the movement of heavy materials.
Furthermore, the tent accommodation that has been realised for the Dutch Ice Sculpture Festival consists of the following:
- WS 225 (Warehouse Structure 225).
- 1 x 25 x 55 metres (Ice Sculpture Hall).
- 1 x 25 x 60 metres (Horeca hall).
- Heat strips added to doors.
- Roof: Air-insulated roof membranes.
- Wall: Insulated sandwich panels.
