Production by Kontent Structures


Kontent Structures is completely self-contained in aluminium tent structures.

Our production department has a machine park with several CNC milling machines for machining the aluminium profiles. After processing, all parts are assembled and subjected to quality control in a complete workshop. The CNC milling machines are from the Emmegi brand. These machines process aluminium profiles up to a size of 400 × 400 mm with a profile length of more than 10 meters. All CNC milling machines are pre-programmed and as input, we use our 3D models from Solidworks that are made by the engineering department.

Kontent Structures Metal Works focuses on producing the complete metal tent parts and floor frames. Kontent Structures Metal Works uses the latest technologies. The machinery includes a welding robot, CNC press brake and a tube and plate laser. This enables us to produce metal parts of the highest quality with very high precision and efficiency. It is entirely produced according to the NEN-EN 1090 standard. This has been the European standard for (load-bearing) steel and aluminium constructions since July 2014. This standard lists all requirements that a steel and aluminium construction must meet.

All our tent constructions are delivered including Dutch or English construction calculations according to the NEN-en 13782 standard. All our produced tent constructions also comply with the safety rules of NEN 8020-41.

Our semi-permanent accommodations comply with all corporate eurocodes, such as:

NEN-EN 1991-1-3 for snow load.
NEN-EN 1991-1-4 for wind load.
NEN-EN 1993-1 for design and calculations of steel structures.
NEN-EN 1999-1-1 for design and calculations of aluminium structures.

Engineering by Kontent Structures


Both Kontent Structures Sales and Kontent Structures Metal Works are equipped with an Engineering department. A team of experienced engineers is responsible for the technical calculation and illustration of projects, designs and products.

Every engineer has years of experience and appropriate education. Kontent Structures uses Solidworks engineering software. With this program, we are able to build very precise 3D models. This program also takes into account the advantages of our machine park. You can think of saving on production time, residual material and a focus on ease of installation for the customer.

Project-Based Engineering

Basically, developing and making customised (storage) tents for clients. At Kontent Structures, we are able to realise tents based on the wishes of the client. To realise these custom tents, Kontent Structures uses custom structure development.

At the engineering department, we solve problems for customers by developing new products. Everything is drawn in 3D, which makes it easy to present and discuss details with the client.

Robotic welding

Tube and Plate Laser & Robotic welding

The tube and plate laser we use is a combination machine of the brand BLM Adige. With this machine, we are able to edit very large tubes up to a diameter of 225 mm. Plates can be worked up to a size of 3,000 x 6,000 mm. This combo laser machine is pre-programmed and loaded prior to production, making the production fully automated.

The robotic welding is mounted on a track of 13 meters. Because of this, we have the possibility to weld products of more than 13 meters with the robot. By means of large manipulators, both large and small parts are rotated during the automated welding process.
